New Years Eve 2013 Celebration

2013 was rapidly coming to a close. It had been a busy, fast year full of many blessings and the loss of loved ones too!

We began on Monday, December 30 by making noise makers. We made them out of clear solo cups with different colored beads on the inside. We then put them together with different colors and styles of tape. Finally we adorned them with all kinds of stickers and beads on the outside.  This was in preparation for our New Year’s Eve party at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31.

We celebrated with homemade chili, vegetable soup, peanut butter sandwiches and yummy grilled cheese sandwiches hot off the grill!

To celebrate New Year’s Day we made New Year’s pendant balls. These were made with Styrofoam balls rolled in glue and then rolled in colorful confetti. We finished them off with ribbons attached to hang on the wall or around the neck.

Fun was had by all! We’re off to a good start for 2014 with lots of activities and outings in store for all.
