Our community is so blessed to have so many people throughout the community of Taylorsville to come in and volunteer with all their talents; singing, making items for the residents, and even visiting.
In honor of these precious people who take time out of their busy lives to do this, we had an celebration to honor their dedication to our residents. We had about 48 volunteers present who were presented with Certificates of Appreciation and enjoyed cake and lemonade. The volunteers ranged from local church groups who have been coming faithfully for 25 years to a Karaoke group.
Suzanne, our Chaplain shared a couple of poems that spoke of the people volunteering being blessed as well as blessing the residents and blessed us with two beautifully sung songs. The cake was a beautiful cake that had colors of royal blue and yellow and even a sunny smiley face! The volunteers visited for a while and pledged another year of faithful service.
We truly appreciate these people providing wonderful music and other talents for our residents. We also recognized some of our residents who volunteer in various activities that we have.
We are blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community.
